Through my internships, undergraduate research, projects, and coursework I have gained a comprehensive understanding of software development and machine learning.
My technical skills consist of:
Within computer science, I have specific interests in machine learning and specifically computer vision. Many of my projects have dealt with applications of computer vision across various fields including animal science, parking monitoring, and a visual lost-and-found tool. I have worked with object segmentation to create a large dataset of cow masks to train a real-time disease prediction model. I have also developed a parking spot occupancy detection model, achieving 98% accuracy by tuning the hyper-parameters of a pretrained model. Additionally my work on a AI-powered lost and found tool has allowed me to combine both computer vision and natural language processing in a real-world application.
